Deteriorated Dreams

·•?»· Deteriorated Dreams ·«?•·

In accordance with life’s plight
A lonely soul is awake at night
Lost in an icy haze
Lost in life’s maze

Deteriorated dreams of what used to be
Flood, haunt and sadden me
Wondering what happened to fate
For it all seemed so great

Darkness can be hard to cast aside
When it’s your only safe haven to hide
Days seem bleak and full of strife
Making it hard on a lonely life

Deteriorated dreams recess in my mind
Conflict with hope and become entwined
Still, it’s possible to stay strong
Because somewhere – I belong
