Destruction - Stalking By Proxy

Once I seemed respected, 
Loved even might I say
But those the closest to me
Took my life away. 

They fooled me with their promises
They fooled me by their lies
And now I am rejected
That's what happens when love dies. 

I gave them everything I had
I trusted them to be
The people that I needed
To love and sustain me. 

Their minds have all been poisoned
They will no longer see
The person that I really was
But just an effigy. 

It took a very long time
To bring me to my knees
They've stuck so many pins in me
That they may now me seize. 

Their eyes are shining brightly
Glistening with greed
They stand to gain my property 
While all I do is bleed. 

I have the biggest heart
That you will ever find
But I have been set-up to look
As if I've lost my mind. 

There's no one left to turn to
There's nowhere left to run 
I am so very sad to say 
No-ones prepared to come.
