Destiny
When we met we were just a
couple kids that thought we
knew it all. We fell madly in love,
and married young.
Everyone said we would never
make it. They said we were just
kids ourselves.
Looking back I would have waited
to do such a grown up thing. I was
still a girl and you were still a boy.
But by some miracle our love saw
us through.
In the beginning we would fuss and
fight all through the night.We
struggled to keep a roof over our head
and our family fed.
Looking back I would have waited
to do such a grown up thing. I was
still a girl and you were still a boy.
But by some miracle our love saw
us through.
Ten years later we got it together.
We renewed our vows. And over the
years we fell more in love. I realized
that you were a gift from up above.
Suddenly I saw a boy become a man.
And I was no longer a little girl I was a
woman in love with her man.
So although I was just girl and you
were just boy when we wed, it was
destiny after all.
