DESTINED FOR GREATNESS

For such a time as this 
of much uncertainty 
how does anyone determine
their god-given destiny?
what's our purpose
In the scheme of God's desires?
what is it from us
that God requires? 

destined for greatness 
as mothers, mentors and teachers
destined for greatness 
As aunts, activists and preachers
It matters not the capacity 
for you God did choose 
we're women destined for greatness 
as daughters of the King 
we can't lose 

there'll be sacrificing 
and coming out of comfort zones 
but whatever God asks of you 
You won't have to do it alone 
the battle is not just yours 
It also belongs to the Lord 
and God won't let you write a check 
you can:t afford 

destined for greatness 
as mothers, mentors and teachers 
destined for greatness 
As aunts, activist and preachers 
It matters not the capacity 
for you God did choose 
we're women destined for greatness 
as daughters of the King 
we can't lose 

trust in God to give you 
all you'll need 
So His purpose for your life 
will come to seed 
to be like Queen Esther, Harriet Tubman
and Rosa Parks 
women destined for greatness 
beacons in society's dark 
to do what's necessary 
for the greater good 
to put the needs of others 
before your own as we all should 

destined for greatness 
as mothers, mentors and teachers
destined for greatness 
as aunts, activists and preachers 

God gave each of us life 
for a reason 
and will call upon each of us 
In due season 
to stand up and confront 
the so-called powers that be 
In righteous indignation 
to save humanity

destined for greatness 
as mothers, mentors and teachers 
destined for greatness 
as aunts, activists and preachers 

let God position you 
where you'll prosper and be strong 
use you as a vessel 
to make right a wrong 
It might not make much sense to you 
and you might disagree 
but God knows what's best 
when it comes to your destiny 

there'll be sacrificing 
and coming out of comfort zones 
the battle is not just yours 
so you won't have to do it alone 
say yes to all that of you 
God asks
believing unconditionally He'll equip you 
for the task 

destined for greatness 
as mothers, mentors and teachers

as aunts, activists and preachers 

and as long as you remain resilient 
in your resolve
between you and God 
situations will get solved 

destined for greatness

to know that as daughters of the King
we're destined to do weanything
