Despair

You say you love me You say you care Why? When all my words Simply bring you despair Who has the power? Empty words Staring eyes False promises To muffle the cries A flicker of hope A guiding light A smiling face To make it right Not much time left Battery getting low Last scene In this motion picture show Energy fading Eyes are closing Lights off No more need for posing Surrounded, now, by the dark Silence fills the air Only words in my head Are simple of despair

I'm sorry Richard, your poem was bad,, but not that bad.. I found meaning in it.. sorry you did not make the top 10...CONGRATULATIONS ;-) Thank you for participating in my worst poem contest. I don't know if I should call this an honor, but it has been something different... It's always a pleasure running odd contest. Take Care~ LINDA
