Desire

That scent of your body I know so well,
mingled with that unmistakable
woody aroma,
lingers in the air,
heady and aflame
while my desire burns.

Then for the first time I knew.
In a forest of naked trees,
the canopy protected our own nakedness.
It was ours,
not to be shared.
