Desire

Root of desire is a simple thought,
fanned by many an afterthought.
Thought is what makes a man,
it can build or ruin a man.

Fulfilled desires bring peaceful moments,
as there are no desires in those moments.
Desires fuelled by negative notion,
if not fulfilled, can lead to depression.

Idle mind is devil's workshop,
it is here desire grows its crop.
Desires have brought in many a transformation,
men with ambitions have changed many a nation.

Desires can be ended with a flip of mind,
that much control we should have on our mind,
desires without attachment can never waiver the mind,
desireless mind is tranquil mind.
