Desiderata, Dream

Noise, haste, may I placid pass?
Remembrance, silence, peace?
Surrender? Possible, bead glass?
Truth, clear quiet crease?

Listen well when others speak.
Ignorance is dull.
Stories written on each cheek!
Clean death, O my trull!

Loudness, thy aggression.
Vexatious to the soul.
Only by comparison?
Sisyphus, stone roll!

Bitter vanity, thy hope?
Greater, lesser, cope?
O achievement, plans up rope?
Humble interests? Dope.

Changing fortunes, possess? Real.
Career, interests? Heal.
Caution business, workout? Deal.
Trickery, steal? Seal...

Virtue, blindness. World, to see?
High ideas, parson?
Heroism, where are we?
Be yourself, my son!

Never thy affection feign!
Or criticize thy love!
Disenchantment? Arid plain!
Frith, perennial dove!

Years, thy kindly council.
O youth, thy things put down?
Misfortune, flowered windowsill?
Darkly imagined, crown?

Fears, fatigue, forlorn, farfetched?
Stern discipline, wholesome?
Universe, thy child is tetched?
Star and tree of plum?

All have a right to be here?
Life, make thyself clear.
Unfold well, then disappear?
Be at peace, O mir!

God, conception. Final hour?
Aspire to labors do?
Noise, confusion, ground a-sour?
Drama, dreams. Drudge through.

Beautiful world, be no sham!
Cyprian, thy clam!
Happiness, thy summer slam!
Strive on, O my ma'am...
