Wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle, Such a wonderful sight to see. Lions, hippos, and elephants; Like tiny toys appeared to me. Above the desert, 'neath blue sky, My memory recalls the flights, Aloft in those hot air balloons, Thrilled by the Serengeti sights. This a fun poem. I like the formatting of the stanzas, They look like horizontal clouds, Hugs, SuZ

How inspiring. I would give my eye teeth to do something like this. Another thing to add to my bucket list.

Hi Mark, thank you for visiting my poem. Don't be too jealous...I have not done this either! I have been up in a hot air balloon, but not in Africa. It was a fantasy write for me supposedly for a contest. But, so happy you liked it! Sandra

Not so cool, Andrea...the word to use was 'dessert' not 'desert'! I removed it from the contest!! I must need better glasses! :(
