Deregulation

Something about being alone
The getting use to it
The quietness of it
The choiceless joy of it
The store of unsplitted bone

Something about being alone
The gift to worship in it
Innocent and untainted in spirit
The solitary candle by no one lit
Burning before a burnished throne

Something about being alone
The solemn hope in it
To charge no tears for exit
From the bridle and the bit
To find faith hanging on a phone
