Depressed

I’m sitting here with a smile on my face
I’m trying real hard to find my place.
You look at me and know something’s wrong
I’m trying to hum a pleasant song.
The tears are welling up in my eyes
The sadness is darkening the once cloudless skies.
I don’t want to face the music so strong
For this has been my behavior for so long.
I walk around in a depressive state
I’m waiting anxiously for my horrible fate.
I’m waiting for that glimpse of hope
But I don’t see it, so I try to cope.
I’m waiting on you Lord to end this useless life
There is no point or reason for me to fight.
I don’t have hope or joy right now
Please, O Lord, by You I want to be found.
