Depiction of Depression

Hovering Low
Sighs and tears
I do not know
How to repair

This emptiness
Despondency laced with despair
Feels like suffocating
In a room full of air

Submerged in rancid clinging cloaks
Bound and battered stinging snares
I am tired, so trodden down
Buried beneath mammoth cares

The bed my only refuge seems
Fragile covers are my lair
So long it’s been
So many fears

I sigh again
Fight back salty tears
Cover my head
So many lost years.
