Departure 6

DEATH LAUGHS #6

A stillness calm presides right here,
A soothing balm in tunnel clear.

Soul wakes drowsy with glimpse and hint,
Death laughs easy with sparkling tint.

Masks left behind in dying sleep,
A strange new find as mourners weep.

Death holds my hand and beckons brave,
A sure ascend beyond earth's grave.

Dear Daniel: Thank you. Glad this poem delighted you. This is part 6 of a 7-part poetic movement of "Departure" which Death brings a sure transition from Life to the Afterlife, as I see our journey on these earthly plains. The poem is religion agnostic! Leon
