Den of Mayhem

Sprite gazelle grazes in thigh high gold
Dipped lips nibble nutrient dense heads
Shivered fright, ripe blonde blades hold
Whispered warning of what prey dreads

Sardonic posture, stealth purposed lion
Padding flattens flax pale wave swathes
Hunt pattern happens, heirachy's design
Instinct driving, predator blindly behaved

Spring legs scissor, her raced resistance
Twice sized eyes shine, adrenalin's elixir
Takes passage pointless flee in pinkened
Streaked attack stalker strike jaws victor

Heya Sigrid, what wonderful detailed imagery of survival in the wild, love the way you crescendo to the final stanza, strangely most of the time the prey does get away, but not in this case, Christmas dinner is served, cheers David, merry Xmas to you
