Demise In Disguise

2:AM and I got awoken,
By reality through a word spoken,
In conversation with death,
Telling me it's time I lost my breath,

There's a war going on internally,
Painful thoughts of people I'll leave behind,
Yet they careless in my presence physically,
If I do not wake would they mind?

Stuck in a zone with a millions voices,
Emotions confused by this solitary place,
In the presence of familiar faces,
Still consumed by the lack of choices,

Holding memories in my arms,
I fought illusions to victory, like brothers in arms.
