You’re the dark cloud that hovers over me, Blocking out the sun, leaving no light to see, Bringing down the rain to drown, you cry, Burying me under the earth’s lifeless sky. Your nothingness consumes my heart, Beginning at the end, ending at the start, Leaving everything lost in my mindless thought, Drowning my eyes with your endless drought. Your waterless rain overwhelms my breath, Leaving no room for pain or death, Disappearing into life’s infinite air, Feeling no hope, you’re gone, the despair. You’re the one I miss, the only one I love, Flying beyond reach, come back my perfect dove.
