Delivered by His Grace
VERSE 1
I was walking through the
shadows in the valley of my
shame,
Carrying a heavy burden,
barely whispering His name.
But a light broke through the
darkness at the turning of
the day,
When I cried out to the
Master, and He washed my
sins away.
CHORUS
Oh, His Grace is like a river,
flowing deep and flowing
free,
Breaking every heavy chain
to set the captive free!
Standing on the Rock of
Ages, I am lifted by His love,
Shouting glory, hallelujah, for
the peace sent from above!
VERSE 2
When the stormy winds are
blowing and my faith begins
to fall,
I can hear His gentle whisper
saying, "Child, you shall
prevail."
He's my shelter in the
tempest, He's my fortress in
the night,
Turning all my deepest
sorrows into victory and
light.
CHORUS
Oh, His grace is like a river,
flowing deep and flowing
free,
Breaking every heavy chain
to set the captive free!
Standing on the Rock of
Ages, I am lifted by His love,
Shouting glory, hallelujah, for
the peace sent from above!
BRIDGE
No more weeping in the
darkness, no more
wandering alone,
For He bought me with a
price and called me safely as
His own.
With a new song in my spirit
and a fire in my soul,
It's the power of His mercy
that has made this sinner
whole!
OUTRO
Yes, He made me whole,
Glory, hallelujah!
Praise His holy name,
He made me whole.
