Delirious With Anticipation

Today's the game America's been waiting for
   The 'Super-Game,' turned festival galore

Fans are delirious with anticipation
At what they'll view on their TV stations

Will Brady finally pass the torch to Goff
Or will he at the vagaries of age merely scoff?

Will Coach Belechick scowl at McVea from across the field
Deflate the football to deviously the victory steal?

Will Gronkowski save New England's day with a miracle catch
Or will Kansas City victory from the jaws of defeat duly snatch?

Tune in this evening for the outcome to finally see
As for me, there are poems waiting to be written --
      this fateful third of February

Well we see who won the 2019 Superbowl championship! The New England patriots. Will Tom Brady retire? Who knows but he is happy tonight:-) Alexis

Hey, thanks for yet another comment on this one, Alexis. Will Brady retire now? I think it might serve him well; but he's stated many times that he's going to keep playing, win or lose... I tend to believe him, but we'll see. You never know. :) gw

Fan or no fan, it's fun to soak in all that testosterone energy. Fun poem, Gershon.

Hi Gershon, I'm not a big football fan. And with that being said; if had to make a choice, wait for it....I'm saying neutral:-)Alexis

---And, frankly, I'm no big fan of football either. Just thought I'd weigh in on it, as it certainly is America's last BIG TV event, where millions (53 million last year) are focused on the field all game. :) gw
