Delighted By the Sun

Another day here in
   the Bg Apple
  Elections finally over
       the crowd goes
back to its serious business
   You
   shouldn't
   knock
          the
people
        because they are striving
Let the sun shine in
     and delight us
We are part of the
    masses of humankind
Which inhabit this city
Which make love to the
    metroplolis
  With their hands, hearts
and feet
  every single day

Dear Matthew, This is a delightful poem. I enjoyed reading it and your glowing tribute to the people of the metropolis. A fine example of your talent. Thanks also for your comments on my Quatrain True Love. Let me share a Quatrain from my book Rubai'yat of Josh Malihabadi- A Drop & the Ocean: The glare of wisdom of centuries imbibed/ And the vision of the two worlds eyed/ Who are you? O venerable man! I asked/ 'I am time', the passing man replied. -Mohammad

looking at this i see a point of view that is valid enough, but i wonder how many diffrent views there are on one subject, and how to best reach out find echo, and maybe a sharing of different values, that can lead to enrichment, and perhaps a better co-existance for more people, you have got me thinking here, thanks for sharing your poetry.
