Deja Vu

Déjà vu Your brain merely catching up with memory familiar dreams, strange places--sensory elusive moments between consciousness and sleep free- falling frames-inadvertently we leap Unwittingly knowing we’ve been there before people, places, ambience—a distant shore flavors, aromas, scenic common customary things faces, names, colors reminiscent—proverbial promptings Do we subconsciously remember paramount episodes leaving out incidents--someplace insincerity abodes past lovers, broken promises, forgotten pain recollections have preferences- déjà vu’s domain

DEJA VU.... I wonder, at times, is it reminiscence and an omen blended in such a way that we can see the future? Nice job my dear friend. I am enjoying your portfolio... Great material.... Jake

You captured deja vu with this poem...perfectly. Very cool...and senryu is basically haiku except it is usually about people rather than nature, and often it is sarcastic or witty.

Thanks Caleb-- think I might try some senryu soon. Might practise the sarcastic bit by using my hubby as a subject :)

We remember what our hearts choose to embrace, with a strong willingness to do it all over again. This was wonderful to read!
