Deja vu

I recently had a deja vu
that made me feel sad
and down as if I had
just caught the flu.

As I stood under a full moon
I was once again caught in your cocoon
and I once again smelt the perfume
that was produced when our hearts were in full bloom.

I honestly do not want a redo
of our adventures at the avenue
I just want to start anew
without having to deal with past love’s cuckoo.
