Deflection

If only you knew the
pressure of passion
pressure of pain
that you put me through
You would take that hidden love
and pull it through the sky
If I could figure out
the trauma we disguise
I would take it from up above
and place them in your eyes
Forever staying in stone
the look of demise

Written in 1995 after high school crush
broke my heart

I hope you are not in the same situation, i doubt it that you are... I could see your talent from all those years ago..

You know what high school was like. Relationships and waiting for 16yrs old to be able to drive. Looking back at it all over again I remember this feeling that I got from this girl and to be able to look back on the poem was fascinating to me. I can still feel it! I’m glad that I kept all of those all these years.
