Definition of a Person

The color of one’s skin doesn’t define the person

It’s the persons character and soul that defines them

The strength of their heart and the wisdom of past years

Letting go of the past and the flood of shed tears

The courage one bestows to protect and move on

And the fear one admits when one has done wrong

Hope that they spread to the weary and weak

Forgiveness to all who had done a bad deed

The loyalty one shows to all in their hearts

Understanding to all those who had to part

But most importantly is the love that they show

That defines the person s character, mind, and soul.
