there was something curiously soothing and gentle beneath his brash exterior with no logical explanation at hand or particular emotionaldisturbance she let it be it was pitifully sparse informationto go on she thought in frustration EXCITEMENT TENSION AND FEAR................ no matter how unclear and illogical the conclusion might proove to be her own voice was all she could distinguish out of all that hideous cacophony it was all just one tidal wave of sound and image to her like inmates howling in prison "i'm a fairly intelligent woman"she thought to herself then why cant she figure out who he is she dipped her hands in quite a few cesspools so she was a good judge of character hes become virtually invisible now all she could conclude was he was a memory just a memory of someone she once knew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many of us can probably relate to dipping our "hands in quite a few cesspools." Love that line! Sometimes memories of someone special whom we once new can establish water marks that no one who follows can ever hope to reach. I've had feelings similar to those you convey, Brandy.
