Deference

Profligacy a primary constituency of the damned Given this then what is the propensity of the lamb? Climb out of the wool and drop it over another's eyes Why give deference or a damn about another's cries? He who cares not about a fellow man Shall in turn care not about his own plan The heart will rot and fall apart Before things even begin to get a start Ruinous greed and hate made bow before the sullied king Get then what you deserve, oh as powerful evil rings Through an angels voice I can hear him sing Deceiver alive and truly cavorting in wild carnal flings Choose instead to give deference to the cries Help the other lambs and eliminate the lies In your heart and your soul you will then know King of Kings unsullied and all hearts will glow

Thanks, Tim, for your kind comment. I enjoyed reading your Deference poem. You are obviously very learned about form or poetry per se. I am a complete novice when it comes to poetry. I only write what the Holy Spirit inspires me to pen. God bless, M :)
