Deer-Rotwild-Venado

Deer forage in the woods
No time yet for being prey
Their call re-echoes

Rotwild grast im Wald
Noch dort droht keine Gefahr
Ihr Ruf hallt wider

Venado herbaja en el bosque
Ningún tiempo aún para ser presa
Sus gritos resuenan

Deer are such beautiful animals, Gert. I hate seeing them shot, even though I like the taste of venison. You paint such a vivid image in your haiku. I guess the word "venison" had the same Latin roots as the Spanish "Venado." Always learning from you, my friend, and always appreciative. Love, Carolyn

Hi, Gert. WE are up by the mountains and your poem made me think of our deer how they are running around down by our houses. Three darted in front of my car the other night. Scared me!! Luv, Andrea
