Deer and Fawn

We pranced by the river As the wind swayed my antlers I captured with my eyes, a picture As my fawn jumped up and up seeing the pattern Made by the leaves In the big, fluffy shrub This was the dream But alas there was a man cub My fawn went nearer Peeking at this creature Unwarned they were sinners She was caught by the trigger A parent’s biggest nightmare Witnessed painfully with fear Raced away in the darkness I frayed in tears 6 June 2021 Lipogram Poem Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Emile Pinet Lipogram omitting "o"
