Deep Within

A tongue for speech i
have.
A word to the wise i give.
A place to lay my head i
seek.
And a tear in my eye to
look weak.

A smile on my face a have.
A helping hand i give.
A place to call home i seek.
Even though i look strong
i am weak.

A place in my heart i have.
A ride on my back give.
A true friend's love i seek.
Without this am weak.

A love of my own i have.
My life and my heart i give.
An ending love i seek.
Without love unending
am weak.

A grateful heart i have.
What i can i try to give.
Eternal life i seek.
Without Christ in me am
weak.
