Deep Sleep

When I sleep I must dream
Faces, motives unseen
I will dream where I’ve been
Places, pictures, not me

In this trance I’m unclean
Confusion is seen
In this world I have dreamed
What I feel will just be
Misty roads will chase me

Waking up to the sights
Fear, anger inside
Waking up in the night
Dreams left me so high

Mist ascends from the lie
Faces around me just cry
Deprivation asked why
Subconscious then tried
Now my dreams are denied

So long since I awoke
So long that I spoke
Waking up in a dream
Funny how it all seems

Nothing’s real but our lies
Being is dreamed up inside
Nothing now but a sigh
Will I wait and revive
Dream something up then realise
Nothing’s real, should I try?
