Deep Purple Violet

Deep Purple Violet

Deep purple Violet – hiding and quiet –
 Beneath the forest greens;
Carefully we search for you
 Or your dainty face hidden – not seen.

Nestled in a quiet place -
 Modest in many hues -
Amethyst, purple, sometimes mauve,
 A joyful surprise finding you.

On Mother's Day I would send my mom a violet. After she died I brought them home with me. One survived, is sitting on the countertop near a sunny window, has divided and just blooms and blooms. I have always hoped this poem was a reflection of that experience.

It is constantly blooming I think because the water is absorbed through the base of the pot that sits in water in another pot. Again, thank you for your thought feedback.
