Deep Knowledge

Wells, deep
wells
      of sorrow
      surround your
mortal frame
          the rain has left
its mark on you
     the years have
not been kind
      Yet there is
a spark remaining
       Which you
can fan into a
flame
       reach into
the source of
    knowledge
   let your mind
expand and grow
       In spite of
everything
          you're still
here
     let them know!

Matthew, As usual your poem penetrates the depth of the reader's heart. The beauty and charm of your poem is akin to a rare gem. May I take this opportunity also to thank you for admiring my poem The Paint Brush. -Mohammad
