Deep In a Desert Crack
The birds, the birds are out.
Deep in a desert crack,
ducks and geese flutter about.
We are visitors, with the wind at our backs.
Deep in a desert crack,
the waters go from brown to slack.
We are visitors, with the wind at our backs.
the waves loud like a laugh.
The waters go from brown to slack,
crashing into volcanic boulders.
The waves loud like a laugh.
And the towers loom, high above our shoulders.
Around a bend, I see a friend.
In a cave far below the surface,
A marmot comes out to greet us.
This is my home you know its purpose.
