Deep Affliction

We were there for you
We just didn't know you'd go that fast;
Now I understand the pain you went through,
Now with you gone we won't last.

Your pain was subsiding finally
At least I assumed it was gone;
I hope you feel like you left peacefully,
Because I'll be here singing your depressing song.

Why did you do such a thing
It was a process of breaking yourself;
We sure didn't want that happening,
But you did hurt people including myself.

Many keep asking me why
I shut them out and run away;
Because seeing you just made me cry,
It made my heart completely fray.

We all love you, you know
We couldn't stop the decision from being made;
I thought it was enough to not make you go,
But you obviously never intended to stay.

No one will be able to hear you rant
And be yourself as you always would;
I would normally mourn but I can't,
At least you're in a better place like you should.
