Decisions

waves rolled from the fog
                     decisions in the salt air
                      lighthouse blinking red

If it wasn't for the lighthouse where would this ship be? I enjoyed reading this one today. Thanks for sharing it and for dropping by my page. Sara

True Sara. I had never seen the Lighthouse in Maine blinking red in the day before, but it was foggy near the rocks. Thank you and you are welcome :)

Hi Paula. Yes. It was blinking at the rocky point off the coast of Maine. Thank you for your kind comment :)

Thank you Vijay. I took a break in Maine the other day after an appt. I was at the ocean and the lighthouse was blinking red. I hope all is well. I appreciate your kind comment and support. I hope you have a nice day :)

I think of you often Heidi, I know this sounds strange since I cannot often be on here and read poems as I wish. I hope all is well, your haiku is filled with thought, and I hope the red-light flashing, if it is a warning, is heeded carefully. I do hope the nature in your area is coming back, I've really been concerned for you and all the animals in your area after that terrible train derailment and horrid fire. May God bless you and keep you safe and heal the land where you live.

Thank you so much BJ. That is so kind of you to say. The birds never got back to normal here. No woodpecker hammering. No flurrying much in the woods in general nearby. The humming birds are ok coming to homemade food. Two birds were found dead in the yard. The situation with the toxins discovered with testing remains serious. However, all places bounce the ball and do not help. So, it is a trap still. I appreciate prayers and your kind support. Bless you :)
