Decide What To Do

Look at the flood
Where waters run deep
Look at the lost faith
So hard to keep
Death and destruction
And everything gone
No words are needed
Just listen and watch
And decide what to do
Just listen and watch
And decide what to do
Colors become blind
When we’re all of one mind
Waters wash away riches
And unite the poor
Business suits and cut offs
Take water the same
When we’re up to our necks
We’re all of one name
So hand in hand we embrace
To make a stand
Working together to strive
To clear out the damage
Turn back the waters
And once again live
Flood waters run deep
No words are needed
Just listen and watch
And decide what to do
There’s a simple strength here
That won’t be defeated
It’s one that’s united
In me and in you
So as I take your hand
Here is mine
Together we’ll decide
Just what to do
While making our stand
No words are needed
Just listen and watch
And decide what to do

Yes, it's amazing what can be accomplished when we work together, it just needs to happen more often :)

This is an awesome call for unity, Mike. I really like your style. We do have to work together to "clear out the damage." Right now, all I can think of us the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that is threatening Florida's beaches. People are organizing to prepare for clean up efforts when it reaches shore. This poem could serve as inspiration to get more help on board. Best to you, Carolyn
