I saw the beginning and let it go where it wanted to go. God Bless America!!!

December Seventh Forty One By Franklin Price 12/07/2024 December seventh forty one Was quite some time ago Soon will be a century With no one left to know What happened on that awful day When the planes came overhead Sunk our ships and killed our people But our country was not dead We responded to the melee And by nineteen forty five We dropped the “A” bombs on Japan To keep millions more alive We became the power on the Earth Now eight billion mouths to feed We're no more in isolation The whole world now has our need For all of us to come together We're the ones who do that best We have never gone to conquer Though we're oft put to the test We spread our aid throughout the world Trillions of dollars now in debt Most of the countries run by capitalists To compete with us, you bet Less than one percent now hold the wealth As we continue on the ride They steer the Earth's economy We're up against the rising tide What the airplanes did that morning In Pearl Harbor long ago Was not as bad as is what's happening In the world now, that we know If we don't soon come together To make sense of where we are Our great country of America Will be, at last, a fallen star
