December 2021 At Our House

Sassy calico cat climbed the tree and took it down Children of the house thought this was a hoot all around Mother baked herself into a frenzied ball of worry Tiny mouse skittered across the floor in a terrible hurry Father had a phone call, and was told his friend had the virus. At least it is her next door neighbor, not his sister Iris. Ornery calico cat is tearing up presents under the tree Children think it is hilarious, laughing now with glee Oldest boy comes home from college, brings home a little friend. She is a sweet young thing; what does she ever see in Glen? Little ones are sneaking cookies, the dog is snoring away. Anticipation is terrific, a week from Christmas day! Grandma and Grandpa arrive with sixteen presents to drop off. Unfortunately, both have a suspicious, curious, cough. We send them home with cookies, almost push them out the door. They are fine with this, heading toward Florida and the shore. Winter weather rolls in, ice, snow, sleet, and icicles galore. We get to know Glen’s girlfriend better, her name is Lynn Lamore. Ornery cat is hiding, he’s caught a mouse next to the bed. We recognize it even though it has lost its little head.

Mother baked herself into a frenzied ball of worry - excellent line! "had the virus" - killing our spirit of life! "both have a suspicious, curious, cough /almost push them out the door.." example of our scared human character in these times. Nice imagery of Christmas days. Enjoyed thoroughly.

It sure is. Thank you for catching this for me! I appreciate it! I often change the names and then forget the first name. This was the case.
