Deceitful Beauty
Why do I have such beautiful eyes?
They are the color of ocean blue,
Anyone who looks at them, cries.
The mirror is filled with lies.
I look at myself, but see you.
Why do I have such beautiful eyes?
I’m used to goodbyes.
They looked at my eyes and saw someone they knew,
Anyone who looks at them, cries.
Whatever I see, dies.
The longer I stare, they become see through.
Why do I have such beautiful eyes?
The longer my ocean hits the sun, it fries.
My eye sees the deceitful view.
Anyone who looks at them, cries.
My eyes in the mirror are like spies;
All the great things people say, are untrue.
Why do I have such beautiful eyes?
Anyone who looks at them, cries.
