Notes About The Poem

Debts of Love

On the wrong horse we placed our bet
Feral lust was our middle name
Carrying burden of our shame

Our heart was trapped in desire’s net
Root cause, bondage to mind-body
Succumbing to thought forms shoddy

We’re filled with remorse and regret
So we’ve turned now inward our gaze
Silence sets us free from the maze

We embraced not all who we met
So we chose to make a fresh start
Simply by melding head with heart

Now breath by breath, we pay love’s debt
One with oneness, in surrender
As rises within, bliss thunder

On the wrong horse we placed our bet
Our heart was trapped in desire’s net
We’re filled with remorse and regret
We embraced not all who we met
Now breath by breath, we pay love’s debt
