Death's Relentless Pursuit

Death chases me down like a pet on a leash just waiting for its owner to allow it freedom It grabs those it can reach for now It will eventually be allowed to swallow up my body It knows my soul belongs to the Master and its efforts are in vain still it tries to torture me I try to share my escaped with anyone who will listen some will not hear depression takes ahold Its grip cannot hold me for long the lightness that I cling to devours it. Death continues to chase me but I am already free. Jesus is holding me. I can't save anyone else but I am allowed to warn them Death is relentless in its pursuit The word of God our only protection. Seek him and make my heart glad.
