Death's Agenda
DEATH’S AGENDA
I called for death to come for me,
My pain and sadness were severe.
But death failed to heed my plea,
For she was somewhere having tea
I called for death to come for me,
My soul whimpered for relief.
But death was busy elsewhere,
And had no time for me.
Now I have neither pain nor cares,
For they have run their course.
My sadness also vanished,
And my heart has no remorse.
Now I am happy and feel free,
Looking at the morning sun.
It was then that death came and said,"
You need to come with me."
