Death To Rhyme
Where are all the rhyming poems
A sentence of imprisonment inside a world
of unmarked tombs
inside the womb
that echoes out
I think that I shall never see
a poem as lovely as a tree...
The tree has lost its eyes
Now shadow shaped silhouettes
A posthumous disguise
Stretching out at moments
I am unprepared to hear
Instead of gliding through
to warmly fill my ears
With vision plucked
and footsteps stuck
Will I ever dance again?
Without the muse,
can the artist
simply just pretend?
miles to go before I sleep...
No easy wind
and downy flake
For-telling of a
Whispered
carefully etched mistake
My mind once graced
with pleasured rhyme
each step I can retrace
A staggered life
to a wandering horse
To search the endless trails
For his sole lost rider
what a harrowing
and sad travail !
