Death Letter
Death Letter
1930
I have to write you a letter.
Even though you're gone, you can read it later.
So many years have passed.
With so many memories that will last.
I feel like it was just yesterday.
I won’t forget the good old days.
Where does all the time go?
After all these years, what have you been up to?
What is it like on the other side?
Maybe you will be waiting for me at the gate, so bright.
You never know when it’s your time.
Time sure does fly by.
Memories live through pictures.
Is it strange to write you a death letter?
I was just thinking about you.
Just looking up, a beautiful sky in blue.
Wewould have the times of our lives.
Wecould have a drink at 5.
I miss the human touch.
All grow old while you watch above.
What a wonderful person you have been.
One day, we will meet again.
