Death by a Thousand Cuts

We come to experience an array of emotions
Feelings in our bodies, set into motion
Heartbreak and anger, sorrow and fear
These things that bring our eyes to tear

But the thing that kills my soul inside
Is the betrayal of friends, their words pure lies
Nothing can hurt the heart as much
Not even a death by a thousand cuts

So we numb emotions to kill the pain
And continue our lives moving on in disdain

This is very well written, Harmony. If you love yourself, it doesn't matter what others think or say.

Sometimes even loving oneself is a struggle
