Death and Life

Every beautiful thing that is created
one day finds a way to pass away
These are things we have loved and cherished
and even taken for granted each and every day

Where is the good in death...
just memories that are hard to bear
Can't we please turn back the hands of time
as innocent minds learn to swear

God is our promise
that heaven will hold us close
But what comes to sinners
That append to the deciding note

I've seen the darkness
that a man can hold
And it scares me to the bone
more than ever can be told

So water the flowers
and feed the birds
Living life is simply
what needs to be heard

Robert this is a beautiful poem. Its message is so true. Life is what we all need to concentrate on. Living in the most productive, fulfilling way is the answer to all mankind's encounters. That was God's intended gift to us. Your poem said it perfectly.
