Death
DEATH
Death’s an enemy that marches steady;
When it comes we must be ready.
Once we’re on the other side,
Somewhere forever we’ll abide.
Heaven or hell--the choice is clear,
We make the choice while we are here.
There is not time then to appeal;
Once we have died, the place is sealed.
We are doomed by sin to hell,
But the way out I can tell:
Faith in the One who took our place
And redeemed us by His grace
Seals our soul for heaven’s shore
Where we’ll live forever more.
Just fall down upon your knee
And to Jesus humbly plea,
“Lord, I know that I have sinned,
Now I ask You to come in.
I believe You died for me
To from death’s doom set me free.”
If you mean these simple words,
Rest assured your prayer is heard
Then go out and live His way
Till you meet Him some sweet day.
