Dearest Mother

I want to wrap my gift in words
Sincere and true as its brand
Appreciation is what I can afford
With your wrinkled hands, I can understand

Your endless love glows like a torch
Lighting our way to each destination
You held my hand, introspecting much
Where it should lead to the right equation

Freed us from bother
You're worth more to us than anything
Your support is incomparable, my dear mother
investing time and affection for us to bring

Your smile on your face
Resembles the colorful rainbows
During dusk and full of grace
Your smile brightens a sunset’s show

Dear Mother, on your 83rd birthday
May joy and laughter abound in your heart
And may you live peaceful and worthwhile days
You are created by our God’s hand of art

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
