Dearest Linda

Dearest Linda .

Day, after day, after the day, I sit here and wonder ?,
what was behind, that which set your words to thunder
out so –was it guilt ?, the event ?, that set us asunder,

leaving me to contemplate motive, instigating what’s under,
- neath – what the emotions, the beliefs, the words had to state
that has set us on a collision course, were death of, be my fate.
