Dear Tatay

Such a blessing
I miss you so much
Loved me completely
Taught me to trust
How to love, how to live
To be grateful and positive
How to laugh, be supportive
How to cry,  how to forgive

Watched you still be kind, even when the world couldn't be,
I learned to make up my own mind and found the best part of me

One who defends who still believes
who listens to others needs
Who saves and still bleeds
And always there to help you succeed

We're definitely a different breed, knowing you changed my life,
Made me strong where I was weak, when I wanted to run I stayed to fight.

You don't have to fight anymore, I know you're in a peaceful state,
Where every expression' s a smile, and every hand' s a KING and ACE.


P.S.

I hope I made you proud, I'll finish what you started,
Live my best life now, keep my word to you I promise.
