Dear Peggy

Dear Peggy;

It has been numerous years past,
Barely heard from you since.
You may never read this letter from my soul of true emotions.
Trying not to get poetic,
But you know me,
That is hard,
It is my right hand,
Okay so I am left handed.
Unanswered I ran,
That I know less than a man.
But something should not had been there at the time.
"Perfect" were your words about me,
I can do no wrong,
Not being mean,
"Are you kidding!"
Mirror-man I am daily,
Seeking changes for the better,
Needed a dear friend to help me on the journey correct.
You wanted to do all for my sake.
Yet,
You had no life.
I kept seeing "horror of lost" if you did not delivered.
And that was "my hate,"
"Fear,"
Bad enough I lived with it inside,
Than to see living beside me?
My heart cried to end this once & for all.
"My blame,"
Listened to love of church & family,
Yet tears to God,
Asking why can I accept?
Silent was my answered,
For He spoken in peace,
"Your inner man gave you the solution."
Iron butterflies within were not from heaven.
And sweet nothing about how I write?
I can see through that all along.
Better to say truth of no understanding,
Than lie to keep love alive.
See,
Little birdy spoke back what you shared with girlfriend.
And I hurt deeply-
So here I am,
Passed the crossroad,
Moving on,
Knowing this is best.
Remember Peggy my friend,
Fear did not hold up your last two marriages,
Please learn from that if any.
Be true to yourselves or it will catch up to you somewhere up the road.
Mark-

P.S. This is a writing letter I could not write to her, but this is how I truly feel. That
relationship ended many years ago. Odd in a way, writing this letter in relief to
more on-
